I have been a member of The PRactice for two years now and have stayed a part of the Harness Magazine team. While we have gone through other clients, Harness has always stuck and it has made a huge impact on my academic and professional career at Ohio State. Being an Account Executive now I really get to see the behind the scenes aspects of the magazine, and I can help make the dreams of women around the world a reality.
What is Harness Magazine?
Harness Magazine is a leading online publication for women. It was started in October of 2016 by Ashley Drellishak, a full-time attorney in Columbus, Ohio. Harness is a place for women from all over the world to share real insights on life, to share advice and to express themselves without the fear of judgment.
Our PRactice teams have helped to grow Harness’ following by over 10,000 and to increase weekly contributions. Harness makes it possible for women to share their stories and become a part of a new community.
How can you contribute?
Anyone can contribute to Harness Magazine and you can write about whatever you want. Harness gives women the freedom to express themselves and share their stories. My favorite part about the magazine is being inspired by these women’s life events and experiences.
Harness Makes it easy for anyone to share an article. There is a link on the website, and you’ll most likely be featured on the Instagram account as well.
Why is it beneficial?
Contributing to Harness is beneficial because it allows anyone to be a published author. You not only get to be featured in an online magazine, but you can also promote yourself. Harness allows you to make a name for yourself and network. It is especially beneficial as a student because it gives you examples of real work for a portfolio or interview, as well as giving you something to add to your resume and Linkedin.
